What does MiiND solve?
Isolation is the number one problem clients face while recovering from a mental crisis. The client’s social network is usually affected by the mental crisis and mental dysfunction aspects complicate the return process to normal live. This frequently results in isolation and alienation from their surroundings, which can obstruct the potential recovery process and lays the foundation for the next mental crisis.
The hypothesis behind the MiiND social trainings tool is simple: The MiiND community is designed to activate the reserve capacity, slowly replacing affected parts by offering a low threshold training ecosystem, tuned towards the client’s needs, to train the unused capacity. The low threshold training ecosystem gives clients easy access to a state of social connectedness to enhance their learning, by-passing a lack of social competence.
Our pilotteams show an impressive impact of MiiND on the lives of clients. We registered increased joy, recognition of peers, additional problem management capacity and increased social skills. One client said after three months of usage: “MiiND really adds coziness and joy of life to my existence” and another client said “I used to feel lonely, especially in the evening, but since I can access MiiND that feeling is gone.”
Validation tests show an impressive reduction of measured loneliness, on average decreasing 6,1 % during a three month period.
